Spending time in walk-in aviaries is a fascinating experience. Many parks feature them. Management normally does not allow non-personnel to enter them unless close interaction with the birds is really one of the park’s attractions. Even when closed to the public, visitors still often gravitate toward those big bird cages and they simply enjoy watching the birds through the wire. There’s just something delightful in observing birds flying about, engaging in bird song or just perching on something while minding their own business and looking pretty. Advantages

Disadvantages
Of course, huge outdoor bird cages also have their downside. For instance, disease spreads more rapidly in aviaries than in separate cages. This can be avoided by being vigilant and keeping great care of the aviary. Also, in places that get the winter months, you have to consistently check on how your pets are coping, unless you get one of those weather-proof aviaries with a heating system. Besides that, outdoor cages are also prone to visits from predators, like foxes, raccoons or even neighborhood cats. This is why it is recommended that grounded aviaries have a concrete base to keep them and other vermin out. Last, another consideration for some would be that aviary birds will never be as domesticated as birds kept inside the house. Then again, the important thing really is to make sure that they are happy wherever they are.
A backyard aviary is guaranteed to make your home more interesting. A well-kept one will definitely make it more attractive. There may be some disadvantages to it, but they can be easily addressed. The pros clearly outweigh the cons. Even with the downside, there is no doubt that an aviary will make a great home for your pets.
