Why I am a Witch (Original)
I thought a few words were in order about this site. Yes, I am a Witch. I’m also a writer and a musician. I create things, I love to cook, I love words and I love life.
And yes, again, I am a Witch. Maybe we all are at our core. Maybe it’s part of our birthright. The way I see it, to be a Witch is to be connected to the source of All, to the Star Goddess herself and to our inherent Divinity.
The Gnostics call it gnosis. They understood that we all have the spark of the Divine within us. To them, we all have amnesia and that through gnosis, we will awaken to this very fact. According to Gurdjieff, we are all sleepwalking and need to simply wake up to who we really are.
This site is about this very idea. I use Witchcraft as my vehicle. I use it to find balance in a very unbalanced world. I use it to find inner peace in a world desperate to live outside itself. I use it to journey deep within my soul and my psyche to confront myself so that I may, as Victor Anderson put it, know myself in all my parts.
To be a Witch is to respect life. To revere the sacred as it naturally occurs over and over in every single breath. It is to laugh and create and love.
